How it all started...
With over 14 years in the hospitality industry, I practised on repeat my skills in B2B corporate sales, leading both proactive and reactive sales teams, and crafting winning sales strategies as a Director of Sales.
In 2018, I decided to take a leap and launched Like a Boss Consulting. My mission? To empower sales professionals and businesses to understand how to confidently sell Like a Boss! Today, through word of mouth I still work with sales teams across the hotel industry and love how my reputation has fuelled my business for all these years.
At the same time as launching Like a Boss, I ventured into the tech world with no prior experience, launching a video solution for sales - madness I know! The tech platform was available on Chrome and app stores. Inspired by my vision, I pitched it to my family, Dragon's Den style, and with their belief and support, I self-funded and successfully launched the business. This venture thrived, particularly during COVID-19 and accelerated my success, validating my entrepreneurial spirit. My motto was ‘Vanilla is not an option’ and I delivered anything but the ordinary.
Sales is my passion, a profession I believe deserves more respect and recognition. I thrive on building relationships and helping people enhance their skills. That’s why I created a new division miabutler.com — to support business owners seeking an ally and sales professionals striving to stand out in their careers. Coaching is so rewarding when you see goals and actions come to life coupled with results that matter. While I still love working with corporate sales teams, my focus now is on empowering individuals to achieve their sales goals and unlock their full potential. I could not be more excited!

Sales Beginnings in Ibiza:
My sales career kicked off in Ibiza, where I worked as a holiday rep. I learned the art of selling face-to-face in daily Welcome Meetings — my commissions made all the difference in those endless party, sun-soaked days!
Bookworm at Heart:
I love a good read, especially crime thrillers — they're my go-to for relaxation. But I’m also a lifelong learner, constantly diving into sales and personal development books to keep my skills sharp and my mind engaged.
Award-Winning Sales Leader:
Some of my proudest moments in my corporate career were being named a Sales Director of the Year Finalist, and receiving a special award from the hotel industry for advancing best practices in the meetings industry. It’s nice to be recognised!
Long-Lasting Client Relationships:
I now work as a Sales Trainer for a client I first met over 13 years ago when I was their Account Manager. These days I train their sales team and it’s a huge testament to the power of building strong, lasting relationships in business.
Swim Mum Extraordinaire:
I'm a dedicated swim mom—oops, I mean “Momager”! I volunteer as a Team Manager for the swim club and spend a LOT of my free time poolside at training sessions, cheering on and managing the team at swim meets.
Entrepreneurial Risk-Taker:
The biggest risk I ever took was leaving a great career starting my own business six years ago and launching two ventures simultaneously. Not one for making life easy - it was a wild ride, but I’m thriving today and love the work-life I’ve created #NoRegrets
